Waterfall is certainly one of the most stunning and confusing of the many MC Escher impossible drawings which he created.

MC Escher studied with the British mathematician Roger Penrose and one of the results of Escher's studies was this kind of impossible artwork. Somehow Escher's waterfall ends up where it started making a perpetual loop. Can you see how Escher managed this trick?
